Roles & Responsibilities
- Ensure agile test-driven development for robustness, usability, reliability, security and performance.
- Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies / tools to maximize development efficiency and productivity.
- Drive technical projects and provide leadership in an innovative and fast-paced environment. Take responsibility for the overall planning, execution and success of complex technical projects.
- Partner closely with Product Management to create, drive and deliver innovative, compelling and user-friendly products. A creative burst of the deep technical insights that PM needs to build the right product for the user.
- Inspire computer science teams to innovate, invent, implement and deploy complex software solutions in a commercial, mission-critical environment.
- Manage and grow a team of software engineers, including iteration and task planning.
- Develop and grow engineering talent through effective mentoring, coaching, succession planning and retention strategies in a fast growth, highly competitive economic environment.
An ideal candidate:
- Has 3-5 years of experience with Amazon Stack (Lambda, ELB, RDS, SQS) or Google Cloud Platform and with event-driven architecture.
- Has strong programming skills - Frontend (HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, Javascript, AngularJS / ReactJS, JQuery), Backend (PhP, Python, Preferred Frameworks: Django, CI / Laravel / Yii 2.0), OS (Unix - any flavor), Database (SQL, NoSQL), Server Expertise (Nginx, Apache).
- Understanding of OOPS, algorithms and data structures.
- Has knowledge of cross-platform mobile-first web development methodologies.
- Understanding of documentation and testing protocols, including automated testing, across all products.
- Has experience with Continuous Integration tools like Jenkins/Travis/Circle CI.
- Has knowledge of data analytics tools such as Elastic (ELK) stack.
