Core Duties:
Develop a predictable and reliable build & release pipeline for the Office of Digital at Dignity Health that results in a streamlined DevOps capability
Performs source code management, versioning, branching, merging, build, and release functions across multiple software products and code branches
Lead and coordinate code/peer reviews of application software as a part of the pull request approvals to insure that code merges and promotions from feature branches into the main line result in continuous deliver of software to our customers at a faster pace and with lower risk
Collaborates with application and project team(s) to define design and automated unit testing scenarios and scripts in alignment with business and system requirements
Leads cross functional application development activities to achieve project objectives
Contribute to and maintain a thorough understanding of application development standards, policies, and procedures
Researches and recommends appropriate application development and software distribution/deployment best practices and tools
Allocates and assigns tasks to team members, monitors team work for quality and completeness and provides feedback to the team
Minimum Qualifications:
Requires a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Technology, or Business discipline or equivalent experience
4-5 years of experience in software development and release with extensive exposure to the Microsoft application development technology stack, with special emphasis on and experience with Azure DevOps (Visual Studio Team Services) and related extensions and build/release tools in the Azure gallery required
Very strong Azure automation skills to develop a rapid-fire, push-button environment (infrastructure) provisioning and de-provisioning capability in Microsoft Azure required
Strong skills and experience with SDLC, Project Management, and Agile methodologies required
Experience with Object Oriented Development and the related design patterns including .Net/C# programming, relational database systems (MS SQL Server), programmatic data access and modeling and implementing databases required
Good working knowledge of the following software development, build, and release technologies and frameworks is required:
Microsoft .Net framework, ASP.Net (MVC), C#, TSQL, Entity Framework
Common web technologies such as HTML5, Javascript, CSS, REST, and SOAP and Web 2.0 framework is required (jQuery, Node.js, Angular.js, etc.)
SDLC, build, and automation tools on the Microsoft Azure stack (PowerShell script automation, Visual Studio Team Services, Visual Studio 2015 IDE)
Source code management and application build and deployment tools (Visual Studio Team Services, SVN, Ant, Maven, Stash, GitHub, Git)
Microsoft software development certifications
Strong and hands-on experience with development and management of automated CI/CD pipelines using tools like Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitLab CI, TeamCity, etc.)
Hand-on experience with software development on Microsoft Azure e.g. SQL Azure, Azure App Services, Application Insights, API Management, PowerShell scripting, etc.
Web Server (IIS, Apache) and Application Server (IIS, Tomcat) architecture and services
Content Management usage and implementation (Sitecore, Adobe AEM, WordPress, Drupal, Joomla!)
