We are searching for an enthusiastic, communicative and hardworking software engineers with passion for software-craftsmanship and with strong experience in all levels of software design. You will enjoy building scalable solutions within a strong, multi-functional, agile team.

We are now looking for our next colleague to join our team as a Senior Backend Developer.

As a Senior Backend Developer at Omio you will…

...be part of an international, hardworking and agile team that is responsible for building the platform that empowers the core company asset - provider integrations. You will work with the latest technologies and have a phenomenal impact on our product. Although we are extremely proud of what we have already achieved at Omio, there's still some space for improvement and lots of interesting technical challenges to face while going forward.

As a Senior Engineer, you will be a key driver for defining and implementing a scalable, flexible frontend architecture that enables a consistent UX, fast delivery across platforms, and seamless coordination between multiple product engineering teams to create superb end-to-end experiences for more than 10 million travellers per month.

In an agile context you will share the following tasks with your teammates:

• You will play a leading role in architecture and design of our Ferries platform and related systems


• Continuously raise the engineering bar with your experience and a love of software design perfection


• You'll be working on designing and developing a scalable and future-proof microservices and libraries


• Your efforts will also be focus on high-performance services that handle all communications with our partners.


• Collaborate with your colleague across Omio working together on solutions for challenging and interesting problems

Qualifications

If you can develop production-level code in your sleep, care about proven engineering practices and love to share your knowledge within a hardworking team - fantastic! In addition to that, we would love you to have:

• Experience in Java, designing and building scalable all-star applications.


• Experience in software design and Continuous Delivery.


• Experience in cloud infrastructure and container technology.


• Passion for software craftsmanship and agile development methodologies.


• Team-player mindset with passion for mentoring and growing colleagues.


• An open mind and eagerness to learn new things.
