What youll be doing

Be a part of the rapidly growing Connected Car SaaS industry, as you work alongside some of the sharpest minds in SaaS software and mobile app development. Our engineering teams take advantage of the latest technologies to design, build and test solutions that are literally transforming connected vehicle around the world. We are looking for a software engineer to help tackle the exciting technical opportunities ahead. As our product development engineer, you will work with cross-functional teams in the design and development of SaaS. 


Responsibilities

  • Develop microservices for Connected Fleet platform. 
  • Write clean and quality code that can scale to millions of vehicles. 
  • Implement microservice architecture and develop independently deployable services.
  • Code should be deployable using the CI/CD framework 
  • Practice lean software development in day to day development
  • Make sure changing code has enough unit test coverage
  • Deploy a stack into AWS with your code with the CI/CD stack
  • Do a code review or respond to yours.
  • Follow best in class engineering practices defined by the architect.


Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science.
  • A minimum of 6+ years of technology development
  • 2+ years of experienceExperience in implementing and consuming REST and SOAP services is a must, preferably, as a microservice.
  • 2+ years of experience with server-side languages such as Python, Java/Springboot is expected
  • 2+ years of experience in scaling and performance tuning of applications.
  • 2+ years of experience with database technology such as Cassandra, Oracle and MongoDB
  • 2+ years of experience cloud and container technologies like Docker, AWS, GCP.


Preferred

  • 2+ years of experience in distributed message queuing technologies (i.e. Apache Kafka)   
  • 2+ years of experience in writing functional automation testing using testing frameworks such as Junit, MockIto, Protractor and Jasmine
  • 2+ years of experience in logging tools like Splunk, Logstash.
  • 2+ years of experience with front-end technologies such as Angular, HTML, CSS and JavaScript and React is highly desirable
  • 5+ Experience with source control like GIT, SVN
  • Knowledge of domain driven design concept and 12 factor app methodology
  • Knowledge of DevOps principles and CI/CD technologies and practices
  • Advocate of good testing practices, methods and quality standards
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
