QA Lead is responsible for designing overall testing plans, allocating resources per projects and ensure all sprint deliverables are tested before release. In addition to, leading the team, Digital QA Lead will help team in designing, developing, and executing test plans and test cases that verify software operates under defined acceptance criteria (i.e. system behaviours) and feature design documents.
This role also offers the opportunity to learn about and implement testing procedures on enterprise level streaming systems, Digital web, and mobile products, which the development team develop and integrate with on a day-to-day basis.
We are seeking a self-motivated, creative and collaborative QA Lead to be part of this game changing experience. Previous experience of leading a team is required along with experience of testing Web applications or Android/iOS/AppleTV/SetTop Box.
Your purpose
More specifically you will:
- Participate in sprint planning and estimate sessions.
- Prepare testing strategy as per sprint and ensure proper resource allocation.
- Review and revise highlevel acceptance criteria to produce relevant test artefacts and ensure appropriate test coverage.
- Execute manual test suites, raise defect reports, and manage re-testing.
- Inspect and monitor underlaying network calls to validate solution design and identify implementation defects.
- Identifying and validate nonfunctional requirements.
- Develop, document, monitor and improve testing processes and procedures.
- On a day-to-day basis the Digital QA Lead will plan and monitor testing progress and coordinate with Dev Manager to ensure fortnightly release.
Your capability
Your background should include:
- 3+ years of experience in leading and mentoring a test team.
- 6+ years of experience as a Technical Test Analyst / Quality Analyst.
- 2 years of experience in testing enterprise Web application/consumer website OR mobile applications (iOS/Android/AppleTV), preferably within Media/Broadcast industry.
- Sound working knowledge of HTTP protocols and end-to-end web technologies and languages including HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript.
- Experience with web debugging proxy applications such as Charles, Wireshark.
- Experience developing test plan, procedures, and test cases for development sprints.
- Experience using functional and non-functional testing methodologies – System, Integration, Regression, UAT, etc.
- Experience across the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies.
- Experience in an agile development environment SCRUM/Kanban.
- A team player with a commitment to ongoing personal development.
- Excellent communication skill verbal and written.
