We are working on a cutting-edge geospatial VR/AR application which allows people to connect deeper to the world around us in order to feel touched, inspired, educated and entertained. To help get our app into people’s hands we are seeking YOU a skilled backend developer with DevOps skills to help us bring the experiences to life. The position is full time and is using the latest technology stack in our downtown Los Angeles office.
Responsibilities
Spike testing and rapid prototyping
End-to-end development of new features from concept through testing and deployment
Implement service/business/data layers and cross-cutting components
Write automated ETL pipelines to connect with 3rd party APIs
Ensure our local and cloud infrastructure is performant, scale-able, secure and automated
Build up and maintain our DevOps/CI environment through research, implementation and monitoring
Write clean, well documented, testable OOP code following KISS/SOLID principles
Meticulous attention to detail and high quality of work
Core Skills and Requirements
Excellent knowledge in designing and developing complex multi-tier software applications
Intermediate experience with C# and .NET Framework
Creating and consuming RESTful web services and experience with 3rd party APIs
Well versed in the design and usage of SQL databases including ETL
Good understanding of design patterns
Understanding of effective unit testing and experience with Visual Studio Tests or nunit
Experience creating mock objects using Moq, NSubstitute or other mocking framework
Additional Skills Considered a Plus
Experience with big data, stream processing and machine learning algorithms
Experience with geospatial applications & databases
Working in an agile scrum focused environment
Experience working with Photon, Raknet, Lidgren, UNet or Ulink.
Experience or knowledge of IoC or DI systems.
Experience with Unity or Unreal
