Senior Python/Django Software Engineer
Prezzee is a young and multi award-winning tech start-up headquartered in Sydney, Australia. Within less than 3 years, the revolutionary Prezzee eGift card is now used across hundreds of established Australian and International brands such as Coles, Myer, David Jones, Rebel, Jetstar, Spotify and Uber. SUMMARY
We’re seeking a senior software developer with strong commercial experience in building Python / Django web applications. For this highly rewarding and highly competitive salary package, you shall be an expert in Python and have a very thorough knowledge of Django web framework.

YOUR PROFILE
- You are an expert in Python and have very thorough knowledge of Django web framework.
- You have a strong understanding of algorithm complexity, data structures, concurrency & systems performance
- You have very strong backend development skills
- You have 5 or more years professional experience with Python backend development and the ability to deliver high quality battle-tested code
- You have extensive understanding and experience with Django full-stack framework.
- You have excellent knowledge of object-oriented programming principles, design patterns and refactoring techniques
- You write clean testable code and have previous experience with TDD
- You have professional development experience integrating backend applications with RESTful web services and MySQL or PostgreSQL databases.
- You have worked with authentication schemes before (e.g. OAuth2, JWT)
- You are very familiar with CI/CD best practices
- While not necessary, having front-end development skills with a modern framework (React, Vue, Angular) will be advantageous

- Have backend-focused ownership of projects including the design, development, and optimization of the underlying infrastructure
- Deliver quality and clean testable code for our web apps and APIs
- Minimise solution complexity
- Perform code reviews and share ownership of the code base
