Impact you will make :
- Write efficient and maintainable Java code based on technical guidelines, design documents, and industry best practices.
- Review code for defects and quality against technical documents and standard practices.
- Design and implement unit tests for software application modules.
- Review business requirements for technical feasibility and logical defects.
- Generate accurate implementation estimates based on technical documents, business requirements and team members abilities.
- Contribute to the continual improvement of the engineering teams software development process
- Incumbent must have at least basic working knowledge of the following :
1. At least 4 years experience in application development (Java EE, JSP/ servlets, Web services, JPA, Junit) with exposure to high availability, data driven applications.
2. Experience in DB frameworks like Hibernate, MVC spring framework
3. Experience in Linux and JBOSS 5x, JBOSS 6x application servers
4. Knowledge of OO design and common design patterns, and can understand what the tradeoffs of the different approaches
5. Experience in Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery systems including Maven, Jenkins, and Artifactory
6. Technologies, Tools and Frameworks: XML/XSL, Eclipse Studio, Mercurial (or similar)
