The Role
The Senior Software Development Manager position is a hands-on leadership position that incorporates technical and programming skills, agile software development abilities, team leadership skills, and skills in user experience design and UI implementation.
This Position Provides The Opportunity To Lead One Or More Scrum Teams That Are Engaged In Developing Cloud And Enterprise Products With Areas Of Responsibility That Spans

• Leading a software engineering team to build, operate, improve and support cloud and enterprise applications.
• Working with product owner and other technical leads to define (cloud-based) software architecture solutions for connected, mobile and enterprise products.
• Leading a team of user experience designers to ensure delivery of cohesive and uniform experience design across several products.
• Expertise developing software in modern enterprise-class languages and development platforms, with a strong emphasis on cloud-based development using JavaScript/Node.js, Java/J2EE/Scala, and Python and ability to potentially mix in other new and emerging technologies as appropriate.
• Expertise in designing modern and responsive user experience for multiple products using experience design tools such as JustInMind, Sketch, and Adobe XD.
• Expertise in implementing user interface using modern frameworks such as Polymer, Vue.js, and Angular.
• Recruiting and mentoring a team of exceptional software developers and user experience designers.
• Expertise in Agile/Scrum planning and process improvement.
• Expertise in software architecture design.
• Expertise in supporting production systems and software.
• Understanding of Continuous Improvement and Continuous Deployment technologies.
  

What We Are Looking For

• Bachelors in Computer Science or related field; Masters in Computer Science or related fields preferred
• 10+ years of software development experience, with a strong focus on user interface development and application architecture.
• 3+ years of either user experience design or management of team members with user experience design.
• 3+ years of experience working as a software development manager or a Technical lead.
• 4+ years of JavaScript/Node.js and/or Java/Scala experience
• 3+ years of experience working and leading teams in agile software development, scrum master certification is a strong plus.
• Strong working knowledge of modern web and mobile technologies.
• Ability to be hands-on in code development activities.
• 1+ years of experience of software development using cloud technologies.
• 5+ years of experience building and supporting medium to large-scale, "mission critical" "high availability" production systems that directly support essential business, and technical, or operational functions.
• 3+ years of experience working and leading teams in agile software development.
• Working knowledge of software and cyber security is a strong plus.
