Job Description
Overview:We are looking for an experienced SQL server Architect who has strong experience in Solution/Data and Integration Architecture. The ideal candidate will understand Data Governance, Data Lakes, Data Warehousing, BI, Data Services Layer etc. and hands-on technical skills in designing, developing and implementing large-scale Big Data solutions. This individual will have the ability to advise business users/clients and to work as a key member of the delivery team.
Job duties:
" Provide technical leadership on SQL server/SSIS technologies to development team by designing solutions and blue prints for large projects and guiding them on their day to day work
" Key requirement - Have the ability to communicate with technical and non-technical team members around value of Microsoft services and Hadoop(optional), best practices, reference architectures etc.
" Determines specifications, then plan, design complex software solutions, utilizing appropriate Microsoft ssis/sql server technologies
" Recommends programming and development, standards and procedures for application teams.
" Create data models
" Provide strategic and architectural direction to address unique business problems.
" Researches and maintains knowledge in emerging technologies and possible application to the business.
" Perform POC's on tools and provide recommendations to solve specific business needs
" Has solid knowledge of state-of-the art programming languages and object-oriented approaches in designing, coding, testing and debugging programs.
" Understands and consistently applies the attributes and processes of current application development methodologies.
Requirements:
" 8+ years of technical solutions experience including 5+ years of in a combination of relevant sql server/ssis areas (nice to have - Big Data/Analytics)
" Nice to have - Good Understanding of underlying infrastructure for Big Data Solutions (Clustered/Distributed Computing, Storage, Data Center Networking)
" Expertise in SQL server/ssis/ssrs tool suite with knowledge of cloud(AWS/Azure) implementation for the database services
" Expertise in SQL and nice to have NoSQL databases technologies
" A strong understanding of data analytics and visualization.
" System design and data modeling skills
" Strong written and verbal communication skills
" Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
