This is a 12-18 month project, all new development!
Our client is a financial software company, looking for an engineer to help create a financial services specific website builder for its affiliated brokers.
As a senior Drupal contractor, your responsibilities would include:
- Planning, developing, and implementing mid- to large-scale projects from conception to completion
- Understanding how to adapt theory and best practices to fit the needs of the project
- Maintaining deep knowledge and understanding of technology software design patterns and code concepts
- Showing an appetite and aptitude for taking responsibility for technical decisions; assisting with the direction for the team
- Collaborating with team members on effective development practices and communicating with tact, professionalism, and an eye toward team progression over self-interest
- Acting as the technical point of contact for any off-site developers assigned to the project
The ideal candidate would also meet the following requirements:
- 5+ years of programming experience in Drupal 7; Drupal 8 a plus, PHP, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, AJAX, jQuery, Bootstrap, REST and MySQL
- Knowledge of web development best practices, debugging, caching strategy, security, two-way SSL, NGINX and Varnish
- Knowledge of build and release systems such as GIT or TFS
- Experience with Acquia platform and services a plus
- Understanding of Mobile-first development, mobile-friendly and responsive design
- Ability to work in a fast-paced Agile/Scrum environment
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/related field; or equivalent work experience
