Full-Stack Developer at Noona Healthcare Oy (Helsinki, Finland)

We're looking for Full Stack Developers interested in joining our mission to provide best possible care for cancer patients all around the world!

Noona is a smart cloud-based mobile service designed to capture cancer patients' wellbeing and symptoms during and after their treatments. Care providers use Noona to communicate with their patients and to monitor their health. Our application is built with the latest technologies, and has to live up to the highest standards of performance and code quality. As a medical device we are expected to provide state of the art data protection and availability for our services. We follow strict regulations and processes while still maintaining agile working environment. We apply a user centric design process to create a top notch user experience. We use a scrum process and peer review all of our production code. Our developers are involved in the complete development life-cycle, from design workshops over to specification, implementation and deployment.

Our product development is currently focusing into three major tracks: features for the care teams, provide better patient experience and supporting clinical studies. Each track provides possibility to work on front-end and back-end tasks. As a Full Stack Developer you're expected to be able to work in both areas. However if you prefer, for example, to dig deep into backend integrations over building shiny UI's, we try to account for this as much as possible.

Noona is a Java / Kotlin application running on docker containers in AWS. Our data is stored in a PostgreSQL database. For our web and native application frontend we use Angular written in TypeScript. For our native applications we use Cordova. Our build infrastructure is based on technologies like: yarn, maven, travis, angular compiler and git.

For managing our cloud we use an infrastructure as code process via a in house built DevOps tool.

If you're interested in what we're doing and want to join us in fight against cancer we're happy to hear from you!
