Release Engineer




As a Release Engineer, you play a vital role in the delivery of technical solutions that improve customers’ digital experiences. Management of the release pipeline that fuels our client’s website is on your shoulders—but the extensive build/release experience you’re bringing to the role has you covered. You know how to keep cool under pressure when multiple releases become a common occurrence. Providing key support to the development and content teams who create and publish to highly-trafficked websites is definitely something you’re looking for. Top-notch communication and collaboration skills are an integral part of how you forge trusting relationships with diverse teams across the organization—from technical to creative teams.


You Will:



  • Manage Jenkins in a highly automated environment.

  • Manage and administer an SCM (e.g. SVN/Git).

  • Python, Bash, and/or Groovy scripting.

  • Support Node.js/Javascript development is desirable but not required.

  • Manage and configure web servers (e.g. Apache/nginx).

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to diagnose and debug complex systems.  

  • Investigate build, deployment, and operational issues.


You Have:



  • Bachelor’s in Computer Science or equivalent.

  • 5+ years of professional software development experience working on complex development projects.

  • Experience scripting with Python, Bash, Groovy.

  • Experience supporting Node.js/Javascript development (desirable).

  • Experience with web application security.

  • Experience collaborating with technical teams on DevOps responsibilities for application deployment, performance, monitoring, reliability, and scalability.

  • Experience with Docker, configuration management systems such as Ansible, Mesos or similar grid computing technologies, CI build tools such as Jenkins, and logging and monitoring tools like Splunk.

  • In-depth knowledge of source version control software (Subversion, Git).

  • Knowledge of Linux stack.

  • Proven capabilities to work under pressure and tight deadlines to solve critical issues.

  • Ability to size technical efforts accurately.
