We are looking for Senior Engineer with a strong technical background, relational database development and good communication skills. You will key contact for technical customer inquiries and data analysis and support the customer in product implementation and testing in order to ensure the best possible product and compliance to the technical business requirements.
Here’s a little taste of your challenge
- You are the first point of contact for the customer on project related technical topics (including collecting, analyzing and answering project specific questions)
- Attend all relevant project meetings with customer
- Supporting Milestone validation, bench-tests and test drives
- Analyzing, Tracking and follow-up of reported/detected issues
- Office location will be Harsum in Germany co-located with Automotive Project leads you will work with
- Travel regularly to TT Map delivery engineering development centers e.g. Gent and Lodz, to meet with db engineering experts and product owners
- Support integration and validation expeditions together with the customer and report status and progress to project team and ensure thorough follow up of issues observed.
- If project demands you will be working onside at customers to support integration projects with technical database expertise and including co development if applicable. This will include international travel and task assignment for certain period at customer.
- Establish good relationship between customer and TomTom project teams
What we expect from you- Experience in Software development (preferred JAVA), SQL
- Willingness to develop expertise in Digital maps and linked data models
- Knowledge of GIS and Spatial databases systems will be of advantage (e.g. QGIS)
- Become expert on TomTom Map Exchange format
- Thorough understanding of navigation, Traffic TPEG service and Traffic Quality tooling
- Willingness to become acquainted and work with tools like Jira, confluence, API services and other
- More than 5 years of experience in relevant business area
- Knowledge of Requirements Management and Bug Tracking systems
- Commitment to deliver high quality products
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Self-managing.
- Experience working with multinational, cross cultural, cross-functional teams to reach a desired and successful outcome.
- Excellent communication skills in English
- Live greater area of Hannover allowing daily commute to Office
- Ability to travel
