Engineering is a core part of who we are. We’re on our roadmap already, which will eventually see all our products transform into a 100% API-driven containerised product ecosystem. To accomplish this, we’re looking for seasoned Tech Leads who can add value through their expertise but also through effective and genuine team leadership to deliver on portions of our global product suite.
Our technology stack includes Java, Ruby and Node.js in the back end and Angular and Vue.js in the front end but we are always experimenting with new technologies that help us solve challenging problems at scale. Our teams are made up of solutions focussed engineers who are creating clean scalable code and are already engaged in some seriously interesting and complex projects.
What you'll do
- Run a small to medium size team to deliver a mix of greenfield and brownfield projects using event-based architectures and microservices.
- Be responsible for code quality across the team (code reviews).
- Guide your team in building software solutions according to requirements or help shape them when needed.
- Mentor and teach best practices, latest technologies and programming languages.
All about you
- Expert level engineering experience in Node.js but technology agnostic by an approach with a serious passion to learn new and emerging tech.
- Ideally secondary experience in other multiple languages like Java/Ruby/Golang etc.
- Front End engineering experience will be highly regarded (Vue.js is what we like to use).
- You love simplicity and code that just works.
- You have AWS experience across the following products EC2, Kinesis, SQS, ElastiCache, Lambda, S3.
- You know how to structure, develop and maintain relational databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL/Oracle).
- Experience with key/value store databases, for example, DynamoDB, Cassandra, MongoDB, and Redis.
- You understand code testability, build pipelines, Docker and CI/CD systems.
