We are looking for an ambitious individual who is inspired by delivering high quality software to join the Quality Assurance team within Arm’s Connectivity Management division in Glasgow. Our collective of highly talented engineers are working at the forefront in the following areas:



  • The Design and implementation of beautiful interfaces to simplify complex operations for deployment of IoT devices at scale.

  • APIs that enable Arm Partners, Customers and Developer ecosystem to embed and build upon core functionality within our products.

  • The deployment of our products and expansions of our network infrastructure in new regions globally.

What will I be accountable for?


As an Experienced Quality Assurance Engineer, you will be placed alongside a product development team in Glasgow, UK where you will work within the quality assurance procedures within our organisation to ensure our products achieve the required high quality. You will be embedded into the entire stack of the SDLC to ensure that testing is occurring at the right times, the quality of software is being met, as well as working with both the engineering and product teams to ensure our software is shipped on time.


Job Requirements


Desirable Skills and Qualities:



  • Strong QA testing experience - unit testing, regression and E2E testing

  • Experience with creating low level test plans, design and execute test cases, setup and maintain test data.

  • Logging defects, triage and replicate defects, identify root causes, defect reporting  

  • Deep understanding of web-based applications

  • Experience with test automation tools

  • Knowledge of and experience with non functional testing (performance, capacity, resilience)

  • Demonstrate a customer focus, ensures that provided solutions accurately reflect the real needs and uses of the end users

  • Strong experience in software development & quality engineering for established products

  • Excellent knowledge of the software development lifecycle and testing process, including agile methodologies


Experience in any of the following areas would improve your application:



  • Prior experience within an organisation that provides a highly available service.

  • Working within the Atlassian software toolkit, such as Jira and Confluence.

  • Use of Gitlab / Github.

  • Ensure developers are also testing alongside QA to increase test coverage.

  • Working in an agile team to strive towards a common goal.

  • Working with a team to collaboratively influence the solutions we create.


Your attributes should include any of the traits listed below:



  • An appreciation of how and why version control software is useful.

  • Knowledge and experience of automated testing as well as UAT testing.

  • Ability to proactively analyse, identify and communicate problems effectively.

  • Familiarity with bug tracking software and software development tools.

  • Ability to establish good testing practices and strategies
