As the Principal ADF Java Developer, you will plan, develop, test, and document client/server applications programs. You will generate new code and correct, convert, and/or modify existing code to meet specifications. You will also prepare detailed specifications from which code will be written. Additionally, you will:
- Confer with end-users to analyze specified methods and procedures, identify problems, and document specific requirements
- Write and update technical documentation such as user manuals, product specifications, and training materials
- Perform a variety of testing procedures on assigned products, analyze test results, and correct problems
- Maintain current knowledge of relevant technologies
- Review and evaluate software products, systems, and documentation to ensure adherence to company and customer quality standards as a member of an Agile Scrum team
What You’ll Need to be Successful:
- 8 to 10 years of related software development experience
- At least eight years of directly related experience in the design, writing, and testing of computer programs or database development
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical discipline OR the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience
- Comprehensive knowledge of the principles, practices, and procedures used in all phases of full life cycle applications and systems development, engineering, programming, and analysis
- Strong experience in the development of Java web applications
- Experience with Oracle and ADF based applications
- Extensive experience in the integration of software components as part of a large enterprise system
- Experience troubleshooting software configuration problems
- Experience performing automated software builds
- Knowledge of RDBMS and data modeling concepts
- Experience with client side web development languages (JavaScript, HTML, DHTML, and CSS)
- Experience integrating web based services and SOA
- Experience with code management and version control
Great Additional Skills:
- Experience with Oracle database, knowledge of SQL, and PL/SQL
- Database application development experience
- Applied knowledge of Agile development methodology, product development methodologies, database methodologies, and systems integration
- Experience working in an Agile software development environment
- Knowledge of automated test tools
- Strong interpersonal presentation and communication skills
