As a Front-End Developer, you will work with the design and project management team to develop custom WordPress themes and provide clean coding solutions to complex WordPress functionality requests on existing client websites. To succeed in this role, you should be comfortable working in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment and be able to manage working with a team on multiple website projects concurrently. Responsibilities:
- Code custom .psd designs into fully responsive and lightweight WordPress themes
- Develop partial theme customization on projects with parallel development efforts
- Customize WordPress functions, custom fields and write unique plugins for client specific applications
- Work closely with Senior Webmasters on existing client websites and development of HTML/CSS/JavaScript/Wordpress-based templates
- Generate expert-level knowledge of competitive and complementary solutions and bring new ideas to the team
- Develop and customize eCommerce frameworks, multi-site deployments and advanced third-party integrations to provide comprehensive solutions
Required Skills/Experience:
- Bachelors degree or higher in computer science, or similar field
- 2+ years experience in PHP, MySQL, HTML, CSS and Javascript, accessibility, platform compatibility, and all other areas of front-end development
- 2+ years experience in developing for WordPress or other CMS platforms
- Experience and/or technical knowledge of website development, APIs and content delivery
- Thorough understanding of responsive design principles for mobile development
- Ability to balance projects and manage time efficiently
- Strong communication skills to allow for efficient team collaboration
