The Software Engineering Lead will be pivotal as we transform to Agile/DevOps model and will be expected to drive automation, monitoring (alerting/logging), self-healing, auto-recovery, and continuous integration, while working closely with our AD/Infrastructure partners.
The ideal candidate should be detail oriented, have strong verbal and written communication skills, able to multi task and can work independently and is a team performer. You should also have a proactive approach to identify problems before they happen and implement solutions that detect and prevent outage.
In addition to driving resolution of day-to-day issues, major incidents, and outages to resolution, you will work hand-in-hand with application development, infrastructure and implementation teams.
You will provide guidance and periodic oversight of the team that handles all support requests, incidents, issues, tickets and business continuity activities, to ensure flawless and quality delivery of services to end users. This is a critical role requiring a highly dedicated individual who can take ownership and provide procedural and technical support to various teams and work in partnership with internal/external stakeholders.

BS/BA degree or equivalent experience
Ability to work collaboratively in teams and develop meaningful relationships to achieve common goals
7+ years of Software Engineering experience, with at least 2 years of lead experience with one or more of the following:
Distributed Applications (Oracle, SQL, SQL Server, UNIX, Linux, Java, Java servlets and JSP, Spring, Hibernate, SOAP, web services etc.)
UNIX, Linux, AIX, and/or Wintel
Apache, Tomcat, WebSphere, and/or WebLogic
AIX/Unix shell scripting required (ksh, bash, etc). Windows scripting not required but strongly preferred (PowerShell, etc). Other scripting languages welcome (Python, Ruby, etc).
Hand-on experience with cloud-based applications, technologies and tools, deployment, monitoring and operations, such as Kubernetes, Prometheus, FluentD, Slack, Elasticsearch, Grafana, Kibana, etc.
Relational and NoSQL databases; developing and managing operations leveraging key event streaming, messaging and DB services such as Cassandra, MQ/JMS/Kafka, Aurora, RDS, Cloud SQL, BigTable, DynamoDB, MongoDB, Cloud Spanner, Kinesis, Cloud Pub/Sub, etc.
Networking (Security, Load Balancing, Network Routing Protocols, etc.)
