This full-time employee role with benefits and may be performed from a remote location. It will require an average of 40 hours per week.
Note: Although this role is remote, we are only accepting applications for candidates based out of Costa Rica.
Responsibilities
- Designs, codes, debugs, optimizes, and releases both frontend and backend components for mission critical business systems in educational space.
- Be comfortable to move between architecture layers from UI to database
- Develop and Refactor large .NET code base
- Write quality, high performing JavaScript/jQuery code
- Design and implement databases with SQL Server
- Performs code reviews of pull requests
- Collaborate daily with UX, Engineering, QA and DevOps to deliver functionality for a highly visible web apps
- Consult to our end clients regarding development best practices
Required Skills and Experience
- 5+ years of web development experience a must.
- Good understanding of MVC architectures
- Strong recent experience programming in .NET/C#, ASP.NET
- Previous experience with WebForms
- Proficient with JavaScript/jQuery programming
- Working knowledge of HTML/CSS, XML/XSLT
- Familiar with Shell Scripting (such as Bourne, C, DOS)
- Hands-on experience working with RDBMS (MS SQL Server)
- Experience writing unit, integration and acceptance tests
Desired Skills and Experience
- Prior experience with Telerik/Kendo UI is a definite plus
- Knowledge of security best practices, OAuth
- Working knowledge of PCI Compliant software is a plus
