The Position

The Operations group is responsible for the infrastructure that enables the rest of the company to deliver all of our products and services to our customers.

• We build and maintain virtually hosted servers in AWS and Rackspace, as well as handle physical hardware in our datacenter. From tuning databases to server deployment, we also deal with everything from low level networking to rolling out workstations. We do it all.
• 
  
• We are responsible for security in our products, our networks, and our physical locations. We are responsible for ensuring we are HIPAA compliant and that our clients data is safeguarded. We orchestrate audits and pen tests. We deploy and maintain firewalls and IDSs. We stay abreast of and implement security best practices.
• 
  
• We build and maintain tools to facilitate the work of other groups including build systems, continuous integration systems, ticketing and job tracking, and communications infrastructure.
• 
  
• We are platform and technology agnostic. We work in many technology stacks and new ones arise all the time. We make decisions based on risk, investment, and return. “Because we’ve always done it that way” isn’t part of our vocabulary.
• 
  
• We are flexible and are often the first line of defense against rapidly changing conditions. We will sometimes be called upon to quickly build stop-gap solutions that provide time while other groups plan and operationalize long term solutions.

• We must be constant learners. We are often relied on to solve problems for the first time, researching new topics and learning new skills to solve them.

The position is physically located at our Decatur offices of our enterprise division though our responsibilities extend to outside of our division.                                                                                                                                                                        

We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to expand our team. Specifically, we are looking for people who have at least a few years of experience to bring to the table and who can hit the ground running.
