Architect – Science Workflow Web Platform (m/f)
Your role at ZEISS Digital Innovation Partners:
You will play a crucial role to professionalize our new Digital Innovation Partners unit and actively contribute to the success of the digital transformation at ZEISS. In this challenging function you will be responsible for the software architecture of a new global Science Workflow Web Platform. You manage front-/back-end developers and ensure their continuous advancement. Together with the related ZEISS Business Groups and external partners you will integrate the developed solutions into the existing backend infrastructure as well as improve our agile development processes and build best practice models. Excellent communication and integrated working with digital product owners, members of the interdisciplinary development teams and Group IT is essential to operate successfully.

You have:
- A degree in (business) informatics or a similar discipline with at least 5 years of experience as software developer, lead developer or leader of a technical team
- A good overview of frameworks, products and architectural design principles as well as knowledge in the design of Workflow Engines
- Deep knowledge and experience in Java/Scala and/or .net programming and with continuous integration and in automated testing
- Proven success working with agile, interdisciplinary development teams
- Experiences with MS Azure cloud components, APIs and integration with standard backend applications (e.g. SAP-ERP, SAP-CRM)
- Relevant experience with SQL and non SQL databases – would be a plus
- Fluent English and a basic understanding of German
