We are looking to recruit a diverse group to be able to best handle the diverse problems in the emerging market of Industrial Internet of Things. Currently we are seeking a Lead Field Engineer to join our team and be based in our Chicago office. 


Tasks:



  • Identify the best fit to customer on-site needs, bridging together the physical and digital world with a product-oriented approach

  • Manage the integration of field elements, towards building reusable use-cases and solutions, to address current and future customers needs

  • Sync with the product development teams to align roadmaps, provide meaningful feedback and insight on required features

  • Manage external contractors and partners to scale resources needed to deliver projects in the US

  • Provide feedback and technical support to the relayr organization


Requirements:



  • Proven experience in customer-facing projects

  • Strong leadership skills and experience working with multidisciplinary technical teams

  • Degree or Masters in Electronics, Mechatronics, Automation or related fields

  • 5+ years of experience in industrial related projects

  • Experience with external contractors, developers and vendors

  • Proficient in Python and/or C/C++

  • Familiar with web-development and cloud concepts

  • Good knowledge and experience in Agile software development life cycle, methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and tools (Jira, etc.)

  • Knowledge of version control software and project maintenance

  • Willingness to travel within the US and possibly worldwide

  • Good written and communication skills

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently

  • A team player with the ability to work in complex cross-functional teams
