We are looking to recruit a diverse group to be able to best handle the diverse problems in the emerging market of Industrial Internet of Things. Currently we are seeking a Lead Field Engineer to join our team and be based in our Chicago office.
Tasks:
- Identify the best fit to customer on-site needs, bridging together the physical and digital world with a product-oriented approach
- Manage the integration of field elements, towards building reusable use-cases and solutions, to address current and future customers needs
- Sync with the product development teams to align roadmaps, provide meaningful feedback and insight on required features
- Manage external contractors and partners to scale resources needed to deliver projects in the US
- Provide feedback and technical support to the relayr organization
Requirements:
- Proven experience in customer-facing projects
- Strong leadership skills and experience working with multidisciplinary technical teams
- Degree or Masters in Electronics, Mechatronics, Automation or related fields
- 5+ years of experience in industrial related projects
- Experience with external contractors, developers and vendors
- Proficient in Python and/or C/C++
- Familiar with web-development and cloud concepts
- Good knowledge and experience in Agile software development life cycle, methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and tools (Jira, etc.)
- Knowledge of version control software and project maintenance
- Willingness to travel within the US and possibly worldwide
- Good written and communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently
- A team player with the ability to work in complex cross-functional teams
