What you will be doing:
Every day you’ll face new technical challenges and hold responsibility for ensuring our systems are performing at their peak. Our business runs on high-availability systems and from day one it’s up to our Application Engineers to keep them healthy. You will be responsible for:
- Collaborating with developers, infrastructure engineers, researchers and traders, to ensure our systems are optimised end to end
- Managing deployments of applications which allow our high-speed, high-availability systems to execute the best trades possible
- Maintaining operational excellence
- Delivering game-changing ideas and solutions to complex technical problems to improve reliability and reduce latency
- Developing tools to monitor system performance throughout our busy trading days
- Design and optimise our systems for performance and reliability, to improve our trading success
Who you are:
You’re a true technologist who enjoys a variety of work and craves the challenge of learning how technologies and systems operate together. We are also looking for someone who:
- a Bachelor, Master or PhD degree in an IT related study;
- Unix/Linux skills, Python skills, and the drive to improve both;
- experience interacting with relational databases (e.g. MSSQL, postgres);
- facilitating and enabling attitude, with a hands-on mentality;
- well-developed analytical skills;
- to be a team player with solid communication skills.
