What you’ll be working on?
We offer a quite unique opportunity to work within the Fraud Prevention engineering team, applying best engineering practices to fight crime around the world. We are using the latest technologies and tools to build an advanced Fraud Prevention Engine, detecting payment and other types of fraud. You will work on:
- fine-tuning and feature engineering of Machine Learning models
- improving our Investigation UI
- improving and enhancing the relevant data-pipelines
Tech Must haves
- Java and Spring Boot preferred
- HTML, CSS and JavaScript
- Experience developing in a modern front end framework, Angular.js is preferred, but experience with Backbone, Ember, Knockout or React is also relevant
- Experience working with SQL databases, writing custom queries and designing schemas
- Understanding of test driven development (TDD), and the desire to write tests.
Mindset
- Passionate about technology, product and user experience
- Ability to work independently and plan your own solutions to problems
- You put the customer at the heart of everything you do and that empathy drives every decision you make
- Are willing to travel, to work and learn with dev teams in London, US, Ukraine, etc.
Bonus Points:
- Experience with Fraud Prevention
- Experience and/or understanding of Machine Learning Practices
- Experience with NoSQL, Big data and Event Stream Processing is a big plus
- Analytical and investigation skills will be very nice to have
- Experience with messaging services (Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ, JMS etc)
- You feel strongly about fighting criminals and you are aTransferWise customer
