At MPAC, our vision within the Information Technology team is to strive to be the world’s technology leader in the assessment industry by disrupting the space and developing next generation services that are highly available, scalable, performant and secure.  We’re using open source technology and cutting edge cloud computing. We’re building high performing big data solutions for reporting and analytics, improving operational intelligence and customer service with predictive and machine learning models.  We are looking for an analytical and innovative Systems Developer to analyze business problems, perform systems analysis, design, configure and write high quality, well documented and tested code in support of new and enhanced systems, subsystems and services for a diverse range of IT solutions. 


RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Analyze business problems and design IT solutions to meet client needs;

  • Review business requirements, processes, data models and service models for opportunities to create new functionalities and services;

  • Assist with the creation of prototypes or proof-of-concept efforts;

  • Write high quality and well-documented code;

  • Provide application and technical support.


QUALIFICATIONS:



  • Completion of a diploma in Computer Sciences, Development or related field OR relevant work experience in a development capacity;

  • Strong knowledge of Agile as the standard MPAC systems development life cycle approach;

  • Applied experience analyzing, designing and developing/configuring applications utilizing one or more of the following technologies: Rest based web services, Java, Groovy, JavaScript, PHP, HTML5, CSS3, Angular, LESS, Postgres, AWS cloud computing (including Redshift, EC2/ELB and Lambda), Linux, Git, MongoDB, Bootstrap, Jenkins;

  • Effective interpersonal, conflict resolution and teamwork skills.

  • Ability to thrive in an innovative work environment.


SALARY:  $67,998 per annum
