As a Senior Java/J2EE Application Developer, you will be joining CIBC’s Global Operations Technology team to design, develop, implement, and support application systems with guidance on complex applications from senior team members. How You’ll Succeed
- Programming Skills- Convert specifications about business requirements into programming instructions and conduct impact analysis, and analysis of organizational needs & goals, for development and implementation of application systems
- Systems Implementation- Develop, review, analyze, and modify programming systems, including encoding, testing, debugging and installing for a large-scale system
- Production Support- Provide support for existing production applications, and recommend opportunities for enhancement

- You can demonstrate experience with Java/J2EE, Struts, MQ and Oracle (or similar), preferably 3+ years in a similar role. You have knowledge of major tasks, deliverables and formal methodologies for delivering new or enhanced applications – such as Waterfall and Agile. It’s an asset if you have previous experience with Spring/Maven/SVN. Ideally you have some experience with UI Development using JavaScript, JQuery, Ajax, and CSS. Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
