Description
This role sits within the QA Testing function and plays a key part in testing the Gateway Ticketing desktop and web applications. You will work closely with both the QA Manager and other testers defining strategies and processes, as well as bringing manual tests in line with existing and new functional aspect of the software.
This position will be responsible for creation, execution and maintenance of manual test scripts. In addition, the position is responsible for creating metrics and increasing test coverage using the existing QA testing frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and develop test practices for both web and windows applications primarily using HP Application Lifecycle Management software.
- Design and create test scripts to address areas such as database impacts, software scenarios, regression testing, negative testing, error or bug retests, or usability in preparation for implementation.
- Work with the QA Manager and colleagues to define process and strategy associated with quality assurance.
- Identify, analyze, and document problems with program function, output, online screens, or content.
- Plan test schedules or strategies in accordance with project scope and delivery dates.
Requirements
- BA/BS in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- 2 or more years of software testing experiences.
- Familiarity with HP ALM package a plus.
