The Infrastructure Solutions Architecture team within Corporate Technology Central Services focuses on developing frameworks and architectures to implement and govern the business patterns, cost efficient infrastructure solutions, performance testing, capacity planning, and monitoring.This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:


  • Advanced knowledge in the following key areas: Hardware Architecture (performance testing, monitoring, operations), Hardware Benchmarking (Agile, program managements, network management), Design (compliance, security), Network Engineering (planning, provision)


  • Advanced understanding of business technology drivers and their impact on architecture design, performance and monitoring, best practices and JPMC policies


  • Proficient in multiple infrastructure technologies


  • Demonstrated ability to conceptualize, launch and deliver multiple IT projects on time and within budget


  • Ability to articulate to more experienced management a technical strategy in clear, concise, understandable terms


  • Participates in Line of Business vendor selection, proof of concept, and planning discussions to ensure decisions include consideration of firm infrastructure standards


  • Meets regularly with Line of Business application stakeholders to understand the entire application portfolio and ensure future application roadmaps align with Corporate Technology infrastructure strategies


  • Leads hygiene efforts to audit and remediate any gaps in the infrastructure to application mapping for each application environment


  • Contributes to yearly infrastructure forecasting and budget planning for known upcoming projects and remediation of existing divest technologies


  • Responsible for updates to infrastructure forecasts


  • Performs architecture assessments of existing application infrastructure environments to identify any gaps that may exist and to remediate any known performance or configuration issues


  • Develops comprehensive infrastructure solutions that incorporate strategic target state architecture and standards to maximize performance, capacity, and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO)


  • Supports technical solutions and design choices with detailed business case based on thorough interpretation of business requirements


  • Minimum of 7 years of Technical Architect and/or solutions engineering and design experience


  • Excellent C-level written and oral skills, ability to influence and successfully interface with executive leadership


  • Demonstrate thought leadership in the Infrastructure Engineering spectrum


  • Broad knowledge of multiple UNIX OS platforms, and Windows-based operating systems; deep understanding of supporting technologies in SAN, Backup, Middleware, Database, Cyber Security (encryption, ciphers, key management topics) and surrounding infrastructure support technologies
