Full-Stack Developer at Buto (Birmingham, UK) (allows remote)

Buto is looking to add an enthusiastic engineer to its team of experts. We run an enterprise video hosting platform on AWS which is used by many prestigious clients including England Rugby, Mitsubishi, and the Financial Conduct Authority. Our platform serves over a million API requests per day and processes millions of analytics events every month, on top of delivering terabytes of video content.

Youll be joining the platform at an exciting time, as were currently growing at about 50% per year and need a talented and flexible developer to help us keep pace. Were also expanding our marketing and sales resource, so in addition to this hire, further expansion of the dev team is planned for 2019.

We use continuous integration and continuous deployment with GitHub and run an Agile ship. Were looking for somebody with a GitHub profile who takes pride in their work and really loves what they do.

We love the AWS platform and use it heavily: EC2, RDS, Lambda, Kinesis, API Gateway, S3, CloudFront + Lambda@Edge, ElastiCache, Step Functions, and X-Ray

Our technology stack consists of:

  • Python (Django)
  • Node.js (Express)
  • PHP (Zend Framework 2)
  • React & Redux
  • MySQL
  • Redis
  • Terraform + Packer
  • Slack, GitHub, CircleCI, NewRelic, KeenIO, Zendesk...

This is your chance to work on a cutting-edge, high availability technology platform with a small, tight-knit team of awesome engineers. Your ideas and input will be welcome, and youll have an influence on the products overall direction.

Oh, did we mention we offer remote working? All of our dev team work from home, and come into the Birmingham office about once every two weeks.

Benefits

  • Work From Home
  • Training & Development, including 20% time
  • Childcare Voucher Scheme
