We are looking for a Senior Software Development Engineer who will work within the Cloud design team, to lead definition and development of secure micro-services and API architecture for Stratuscent’s multi-tenant SaaS solution. The Stratuscent’s cloud solution connects thousands of devices and serves very large number of customers.
Stratuscent cloud uses micro-services architecture to support loosely coupled, scalable and resilient architecture, and uses API Management and Web service architecture to interface to customer and partner systems. The Senior Software Development Engineer will lead and drive technical architecture for micro-service and web-services interfaces for Stratuscent Cloud. The candidate will work closely with the cloud design teams to define and develop micro-services and web-services that will meet system performance, scalability and reliability objectives.
The successful applicant must possess excellent software design and development skills, working knowledge of designing for cloud environment, Web services and API Management, and excellent troubleshooting skills. The candidate should be able to learn new skills and concepts rapidly, be able to work independently and in team environment and possess strong sense of ownership.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor or Master’s degree in Computer Science
- Minimum of 5 years software design and development experience
- Proficiency developing in a modern programming language: Python, Java
- Proficiency with Micro-services architecture
- Proficiency with API Management
- Proficiency with Web Service: REST API, RPC, XMLA
- Proficiency with Virtual Machine and Container technologies
- Proficiency with SQL and NoSQL Database technologies
- Proficiency in Object-oriented design
- Have designed and developed applications for cloud environment (AWS or Azure)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong organizational, multitasking and prioritization abilities with excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively in a team in a cross functional environment
- Development environments: GIT, JIRA
