Summary
The Digital Center of Excellence manages the digital properties for both Residential (Xfinity.com) and Business Services (business.comcast.com) customers. We are focused on engaging consumers and businesses throughout the full end-to-end customer life cycle, from sales, through to customer onboarding and ongoing account management. It is an entrepreneurial, fast growing team, that creates opportunities to educate, enlighten and whenever possible, delight, both new and existing customers. Our goal is to build long-lasting relationships using enhanced flows, smart features and self-healing solutions to foster trust and loyalty with our entire customer base.

As an Art Director with the DCOE team, you'll apply your expertise in user-centered design principles to concept and create Acquisition and Shopping designs and experiences on Xfinity.com. You'll work across multiple projects on both web and mobile properties while collaborating cross-functionally to deliver world-class customer experiences.

Responsibilities
- Provide XD design leadership, expertise and support
- Collaborate and lead XD team in ideation and concept explorations throughout project lifecycle, facilitating and driving XD solutions, discussions and planning; proposing alternative plans, and determining direction in collaboration with senior executives and outside vendors
- Deliver concept sketches, rough wire frame or flows, visual design comps (including production ready), rapid prototyping/demos, presentations, logos, icons, mood boards and assist in the creation of associated mitigation plans
- Provide XD designs in alignment with overarching business and user experience goals
- Articulate and track project milestones, serving as liaison between XD team members
- Mentor and coach designers (visual and IA) on core XD skills and project oversight; contribute to the growing library of knowledge around User-Centered Design, through the products developed and best practice research
- Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
- Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and
- Weekends, variable schedule(s) as necessary.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.


Education Level
-Bachelors Degree or Equivalent
Field of Study
- Information Sciences, Technology, Computer Science
Years of Experience
-Generally requires 7+ years related experience

Preferred Experience
- Degree in design, computer science, human factors or equivalent work experience
- Directing internet, mobile or equivalent interactive experiences
- Ability to deliver solid work in a deadline-driven environment
- Demonstrable fluency with Photoshop, Illustrator, Fireworks, or other design tools
- Knowledge and practice of XD industry best practices, including User Centered Design
- Strong collaborative skills with critical thinking and creative problem-solving abilities
- Strong writing and verbal communication skills
- Relevant agency experience a plus (e.g., Razorfish, Sapient, AKQA, etc.)
- Strong portfolio of solid web, mobile and multi-media required
