Cloud Services Director at EXPERIAN
This role is responsible for overseeing existing private and public Cloud Computer and Storage Infrastructure, new projects and technologies whilst managing a geographically dispersed team, ensuring both services goals are met or exceed whilst ensuring full compliance with security policies. Capable of working regionally and globally to ensure best practices are always used. Global EITS.Responsibilities, potential to consult all business lines in all regions.
- Primary contact for all technical discussions with vendor also acting as escalation channel for issues
- Involved in financial discussions, alongside procurement to drive best possible value for Experian
- Make recommendations on products to purchase and be involved in technical evaluations of new Cloud (and non cloud) products/services
- Conduct service reviews, highlighting deviations from agreed service levels and owning improvement plans
- Provide status reports to relevant stakeholders as required
- Provide leadership during the resolution of intractable systems problems.
- Demonstrate a clear understanding of cross platform infrastructure and relationships.
- Ensure that client queries are dealt with effectively by the team in a reliable and efficient manner, thus meeting or exceeding client expectations
- Ensure sufficient resource is available to support operational and maintenance activities at all times
- Oversee all internal Cloud deliveries ensuring they are delivered on-time and to budget
- Act as an escalation point, both internally and externally as required
- Provide support and/or cover for VP as appropriate
- Demonstrate good costs control decisions around Cloud services
- Devise Cloud services recharge mechanisms
- Ensure P&L is managed in line with targets
- Manage capital budget in line with agreed schedule
- Create/Maintain submissions for each financial year ensuring out dated systems are replaced
- Ensure team can take advantage of new Cloud technology as appropriate, establishing this as part of the standards as appropriate
- Work with internal BUs to agree replacement/refresh activities and ensure these are actioned as agreed
- Provide status reports of various initiatives, highlighting exceptions to appropriate stakeholders as required
- Ensure vendor updates are implemented as appropriate ensuring highest levels of system availability
- Look to continually review and improve Cloud processes, taking advantage of new technologies as required
- Ensure Cloud best practices are followed in respect of managing the Cloud estate, including deployment and monitoring
- Ensure risks are actively managed and in line with reported dates and highlighting new risks as appropriate
- Oversee security patching and vulnerability management processes ensuring constant improvement in processes
- Working with the security team ensure the Cloud environment is secure and in line with global security policy
- Interface with internal audit ensuring compliance with department audit actions are completed in line with agreed dates
Knowledge, Experience & Qualifications
- Proven rack record with implementation of Cloud services with full lifecycle management understand of the Cloud costs, security and operational controls
- Proven working experience in IT management
- Excellent knowledge of technical management, information analysis and of computer hardware and software
- Expertise in data center management and data governance
- Proven personnel management experience
- Being self-motivated and self-accountable for delivery and adherence to standards and delivery timelines is essential
- Knowledge of ITIL processes essential
- Highly proficient in Financial management
- Proven ability with managing large multi national vendors
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interface with internal/external customers, vendors, management etc. in both formal and informal situations is essential
- Well-developed personal organization and time management
- Effective leadership and motivation of direct and indirect reports
