What you will be doing:
- Responsible for the full software lifecycle from design, development and testing all the way through testing, training and production customer support.
- Participating in cross-functional projects from conception through deployment
- Prioritizing and multitasking simultaneous projects while helping to increase revenue
- Writing high quality code, participating in code reviews, designing/architecting systems of varying complexity and scope, and creating high quality documentation supporting the design/coding tasks
- Participating in internal projects that help scale the organization, implement best practices, and improve our methodology.
- Analyzing and addressing defects identified by QA and tech support.
- Filing patents as appropriate
Experience we’d love you to have:
- Experience with a variety of relevant tools, including Java, Kotlin, C, C++, ObjectiveC, Swift, Android Studio, xCode, Git
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field and 7+ years of experience in software development
- Strong foundation in OO Design and multithreaded applications
- Architecture and development experience on iOS and/or Android particularly in the following APIs and concepts:
- Android - MediaCodec, Surface Views, OpenGL
- iOS - Video Toolbox, AVSampleDisplayLayer, OpenGL, Audio Unit, Audio Queue Services
- Video/Audio streaming
- Memory and Battery efficiency and optimization techniques
- Creating and documenting public APIs and creating publicly available SDKs
- Scrum/Kanban/Agile development methodology
- Media codecs and bitstream formats (h264, h265, NALU)
- Experience with Wowza Media Server a plus
- TDD and unit test development experience desired
- Familiarity with build automation, git branching and continuous integration desired
