Solutionreach is looking for a Security Software Engineer who is passionate and knowledgeable about secure architecture, development, testing, and operation practices. In this role you will not only keep your hands in the code and influence the architecture of new systems, but also consult with leaders, and establish process to ensure secure engineering practices are followed, across the organization. You will help define and implement an application and operation security program for Solutionreach. You will be part of a growing team working on fast-paced projects, working with exciting cloud-native technology, delivering new products for Solutionreach!
You will have the Freedom to:
- Work with Engineering leaders to define and implement application and operational security programs
- Collaborate with Architect to ensure new products and features are designed in a secure manner
- Identify and implement tools for automated security testing as part of the deployment pipeline
- Conduct threat modeling exercises
- Work with and provide guidance to 3rd party penetration testers
- Analyze, prioritize, and help implement solutions to discovered security vulnerabilities
- Work with Dev, QE, and Ops engineers to implement new products and features
- Work in an agile environment and iterate quickly based on customer and internal feedback.
Do you have what it takes?
- 2-5 years of professional experience in a security-focused software engineering role
- 2+ years in a software development role
- Thorough understanding of secure architectural principles
- The ability to clearly articulate the tenants of a secure development lifecycle
- In-depth understanding of security testing principles such as static and dynamic code analysis and associated tools
- Experience with threat modeling
- Experience working with microservices architectures
- Experience with public cloud infrastructure
- Experience explaining security issues to non-technical people
- High energy and an aptitude for learning new technologies
- Exceptional debugging, testing, and problem solving skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Self-starter with proven ability to learn new technologies quickly and effectively
- Bachelor’s or Master's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science
- Nice to have: Experience in Healthcare
- Nice to have: Experience with compliance and certification programs including HIPAA, SOC, and TCPA
