As part of this effort Comcast's enterprise Geographic Information System (eGIS) platform combined with Synchronoss' spatialNET tool enhances our ability to proactively map the network, monitor cable plant to detect route failures, manage the Field Service process, and manage network assets and their deployment, recovery and re-allocation.
Responsible for planning, designing and maintaining device definitions, drafting standards, and naming guidance for Comcast's network mapping solution. Assists with tracking performance metrics. Acts as a key contributor in a complex and crucial environment. Works extensively with field engineering, external mapping teams, and 3rd-parties.
* Core Responsibilities:
- Creates device and drafting documentation (internal) using understanding of mapping processes as well as working knowledge of network design standards.
- Collaborates with project stakeholders to identify product and technical definitions and standards.
- Provides technical leadership throughout the design definition process with regards to existing practices, standards, and techniques. Seeks opportunities to improve the design process.
- Assists in tracking and evaluating performance metrics. Ensures team delivers software on time, to specification, and within budget.
- Preemptively recognize and resolve technical mapping issues utilizing knowledge of policies and processes.
- Displays expertise in process design and redesign skills. Presents and defends architectural, design, and technical choices to internal audiences.
- Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
- Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) as necessary.

- Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent
- Generally requires 7-11 years experience with GIS mapping solutions in the broadband, utility, or telecom industry.
