What you’ll be working on
As a backend developer at Kudos you’ll be responsible for developing new server side software and tools hosted in Amazon Web Services supporting our app and it's backend systems.
You’ll be working with an agile cross-functional team consisting of skilled Product Managers, UX/UI designers, front and backend developers.
Key Responsibilities
- Build new microservices and optimising existing ones mainly using Node.js and TypeScript
- Assist in improving our CI/CD pipeline
- Contribute to a culture of automated testing
- Help improving load testing suite
- Actively contribute towards the committed evolution of our technology stack, to industry best practice

Skills & Requirements
In addition to a down-to-earth attitude and a desire to continually master your craft you will also bring:
- A drive to write solid, high-quality and low-maintenance code
- Understanding of a combination of flavours of modern software development; Agile, BDD, TDD, CI, CD
- Be comfortable with working both independently and in an agile team
- Working proficiency and communication skills in verbal and written English
Bonus Experience
- Experience working in a fast paced startup environment
- An understanding of cloud solutions, preferably Amazon Web Services
- Database experience - Postgres, MongoDB, Redis
- Knowledge of automatic testing and deployment tools such as Travis and Jenkins
- Angular JS web framework familiarity
- Experience with app development, either native or cross platform
