We’re undertaking several greenfield strategic projects to align with our core products and are looking for a skilled Data Warehouse Developer to join one of our key Agile Scrum Development teams in Leyland. Someone with very high standards and a clear passion and dedication to their work.
We are currently working on a huge programme of work redeveloping existing core applications and building a brand new range of next generation products to enable enhanced clinical service delivery for our ever expanding customer base.
This new Data Warehouse Developer role will see you involved in our Healthi Services project, a next generation product suite being launched this year. You’ll be working as part of an experienced team of developers, testers, Product Owner/BA and Scrum Master, based in the UK and Spain. You will be actively involved in the Scrum framework, including daily stand ups and Sprint reviews, and participate in design workshops and code reviews. You’ll be working on solution development and maintenance of our high quality software applications, enabling us and our clients to store, query, retrieve, report and visualise important data in a highly efficient way.
You’ll be best suited to this role if you have a proactive, positive approach and really enjoy getting involved and being very hands on. It’s a fast paced and busy environment, so you will need to able to remain calm under pressure and manage your time and work effectively, whilst collaborating and communicating with the wider team. A naturally inquisitive individual, you’ll look at solutions and innovations, or applying new technologies, to help improve and support the development process.
You will need to be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:
- C# and/or Java.
- RDBMS Databases – PostgreSQL. MSSQL or Oracle.
- Data Integration (e.g. Pentaho PDI)
- Data Warehousing techniques
- Business intelligence / Analysis
- Aagile development methods and practices (e.g. XP, Scrum, Kanban, Continuous Integration, Refactoring).
- A track record of delivering software to agreed quality and cost.
- A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related subject
Also, if you have any of the following skills or experience, this would be a real bonus, although it’s not essential:
- XML/XSD/XSLT
- NoSQL and Big Data (e.g. Apache Cassandra)
- Dimensional modelling techniques (e.g. Star Schema)
- Use of the Atlassian toolset including JIRA, Confluence, Bamboo, GIT and BitBucket.
- Pharmacy or healthcare domain knowledge
