GetMyUni is a Times Internet-backed ed-tech startup disrupting the college admissions space in India. We are a social college search platform that empowers students with making the most important decision of their life - which college to join by giving them access to exhaustive college information, data points, a student is given ratings, reviews, forums, and a student connect platform.

We are looking for a PHP Developer who is dedicated to the craft, writes code that they are proud of and can hit the ground running. Frameworks Such as YII, codeigniter, laravel etc.

Roles and Responsibilities :

- Integration of user-facing elements developed by front-end developers.

- Build efficient, testable, and reusable PHP modules.

- Solve complex performance problems and architectural challenges.

- Understanding of MVC/MVVM design patterns.

- Basic understanding of front-end technologies, such as JavaScript, Angular, REACT, HTML5 and CSS3.

- Knowledge of object oriented PHP programming.

- Understanding fundamental design principles behind a scalable application.

- Familiarity with SQL/NoSQL databases and their declarative query languages.

- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git.

Desired Candidate Profile :

- User authentication and authorization between multiple systems, servers, and environments.

- Integration of multiple data sources and databases into one system.

- Familiarity with limitations of PHP as a platform and its workarounds.

- Proficient in PHP7, HTML5, JavaScript, Angular, REACT

- Experience with PHP MVC frameworks

- Hands on Solr / MongoDB / Elastic

- Excellent relational database skills with MySQL

- Experience with building restful JSON web services

Must to have :

- 2-4 years of working experience as a PHP and Frontend Developer.

- BS/MS in Computer Science, MCA, Engineering or a similar relevant field.

Qualifications for the Full-stack Engineer

• In-depth understanding of standards, web and otherwise, including HTML5, CSS3, OpenId Connect, SQL etc


• API development experience, especially with OpenAPI


• Experience writing and deploying JavaScript in a production environment, server and/or client side


• FHIR experience and knowledge of hospital systems is a big plus


• BS in an applicable field, preferably Computer Science, or equivalent experience


• 5+ years relevant professional experience including scripting, AWS infra, Linux, CI/CD, Git


• Comfort and grace working with Docker containers


• Demonstrated ability to work well independently and collaboratively in a lean team environment
