Job Description : Niki is an artificially intelligent personal shopping assistant (niki.ai/app). Our founding team is from IIT Kharagpur, and we are looking for an Android Developer to join us in the core software development and maintenance.

Responsibilities :

- Translate designs and wireframes into high quality code.

- Design, build, and maintain high performance, reusable, and reliable Java code.

- Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the application.

- Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs.

- Help maintain code quality, organization, and automation.

Basic eligibility criteria are :

1. Graduate/Post-Graduate in Computer Science/Mathematics/Physics or allied fields.

2. Industry experience of 1-2 years in developing Android applications.

Skills Required :

- Strong knowledge of Android SDK, different versions of Android, and how to deal with different screen sizes.

- Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to back-end services.

- Strong knowledge of Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices.

- Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning.

- Ability to design applications around natural user interfaces, such as - touch .

- Familiarity with the use of additional sensors, such as gyroscopes and accelerometers.

- Knowledge of the open-source Android ecosystem and the libraries available for common tasks..

- Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements.

- Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications.

- A knack for bench-marking and optimization.

- Understanding of Google's Android design principles and interface guidelines.

- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git.

We are looking for a Project Manager with 4+ years of experience, having technical delivery exposure with leadership skills.

In this role, you should be an excellent communicator who is able to translate complex requirements into delivery metrics, involve in delivering complex digital project, plan at a higher level and get into the detail when needed. You would be actively involved in defining delivery needs and feeding them into the process, optimizing allocation and distribution. We also like you to have hands-on experience on software development and be able to manage complex programs and troubleshooting technical issues when required.

Responsibilities:

- Deliver using the appropriate agile project management methodology

- Work with the Product Manager to define the road map and translate this into user stories

- Lead the collaborative, dynamic planning process, prioritizing the work that needs to be done against the capacity

- Ensure all product are built to an appropriate level of quality for the stage

Skills:

- Hands-on experience with JIRA/Confluence/ Atlassian

- Hands-on experience with software development

- Good to have skill- SCRUM MASTER

- Familiarity with various operating systems (e.g. Windows, Linux) and databases (e.g. SQL, NoSQL)

- Knowledge of .net technologies, network, client side and open source

- Good experience in architecture and design principals

- Experience in cloud technologies is an added advantage

- Exposure to build process and TFS, API is an added advantage
