Are you a Microservices Engineer ready to join Paysafe and build the next generation Digital Wallets, Money Transfer or Payment Processing products and to optimize all the processes behind the scenes!


What you will really do



  • You contribute to our microservices architecture and our RESTFul web services

  • You write testable code that will be continuously integrated and deployed, and will therefore have a real effect on live environments

  • You coach and provide feedback to other developers


How you will do it



  • You actively participate in your multidisciplinary team’s Scrum process

  • You initiate and participate in discussions about technical choices and architecture. Choices that were made in the past are not rules

  • You open pull requests and discuss solutions with your teammates to make your team even better, and to maintain a high level of quality in our code base


Team


You'll work in a team with other Engineers, each of them passionate for code quality and testability, for algorithms and scalability. Together with the team next door, your team forms a family that is supported by a Dev Manager, and complemented by a Scrum Master and a Product Manager


What we are asking



  • You know by heart about Microservices architecture and REST Web Services

  • You are an experienced developer with Java 8 or other Object-oriented language*

  • You know your databases - RDBMS (i.e. Oracle, MySQL or PostgresSQL) or noSQL DBs (Hadoop, MapR, MongoDB, etc.)

  • You have a solid understanding of Git(hub)

  • Scrum/Agile comes naturally to you.

  • You're able to solve problems using accepted best practices and principles like TDD/BDD, SOLID and design patterns.


* If you lack Java experience, but have really strong background in another OO language – .Net/C#, Scala, Python, Go, etc., we are ready to provide you opportunity to switch to Java.

Process skills



  • An ability to research problems and break them into deliverable parts

  • An appetite to work in a large scale Lean XP environment: 500 people, in 7 offices around the world

  • Worked in a pair programming environment

  • Working knowledge of Agile, Lean and XP methodologies


Technology skills



  • A background in software engineering; or a degree in Computer Science or other related field

  • Ability to dive into a large polyglot codebase and contribute as you learn in languages such as Go, Ruby, Python Java or .NET

  • Interest in exploring new programming paradigms, languages, and patterns



  • Operations or Systems Administration experience, particularly on Linux

  • You love automating all the things!!

  • We partner with all of the major cloud providers and design our tools to run seamlessly on all stacks so we value any experience with; or willingness to learn vSphere, AWS, GCP and Azure

  • Used Test Driven Development (TDD) extensively

  • Contributes to an open source project

  • Experience operating the software that you write: You built it, you ran it!
