REQUIREMENTS



  • You’ve managed a team of 4-6 developers, BONUS for greenfield projects

  • You thrive in a lead role where hands-on development is KEY

  • You’re an experienced senior developer and can confidently approach challenges with your languages and tools of choice, whether it's Python, Java, Node.js, etc.

  • You’ve led client meetings to discover requirements and can confidently and respectfully manage client expectations

  • You have the ability to translate complex business requirements into simple and achievable goals.

  • You can work in EST/PST - you can be located anywhere

  • You’re able to travel to USA for client meetings

About the Role


The Alerts and Integrations team at ThousandEyes is one of the core infrastructure teams building a scalable platform to provide our customers with actionable insights and notifications when they need them the most. We work on challenging and fun problems that involve processing and analyzing huge volume of data at scale while maintaining a tight and non negotiable SLAs for our customers to act on potential problems in their mission critical applications and networks in a timely manner. We also provide a platform for easy integrations of our data with 3rd party channels like PagerDuty, Slack, Webhooks, APIs etc. so that the data from our platform can be seamlessly transferred into customized workflows of our customers and partners to suit their business needs. If you are very passionate about working on huge amounts of data and love seeing them turn into extremely valuable insights to help improve the quality of internet, this is your team!


What we're looking for:



  • 6+ years of software development experience

  • A fast learner

  • Comfortable working with newer technologies

  • Expert level understanding of object oriented programming languages (Java, C++, etc)

  • Excellent object-oriented design skills

  • Experience with streaming architectures, in particular, Kafka

  • Experience in open-source development is a plus

  • Experience with network protocols is a plus

  • Strong Computer Science fundamentals

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science or similar
