Senior IIoT Software Architect (m/f/d)

We are looking for a Senior Software Architect IIoT (m/f/d) to help us deliver our vision of a cloud-based middleware platform for autonomous industrial vehicle fleets. You will be responsible for the future-shaping technical design decisions of all aspects of the software platform.

Your role

• Collaborate closely with product management and a cross-functional development team to refine and deliver the product vision


• Lead and implement the solution designs and IIoT architecture of our software platform etaHUB


• Define and deliver end-to-end features from design to delivery to support


• Development of a service infrastructure to connect globally distributed machines to the company data layer


• Guide agile development teams in daily work and take responsibility for delivering quality solutions to deliver business goals


• Automation of development, test and delivery process steps in the context of continuous integration and delivery (e.g. via GitHub)


• Manage external projects with technology partners
  
  

Your profile

• Proven track record as an IT specialist/application developer with 4+ years of professional experience in software development, preferably in the context of IIoT


• Experience in managing IT (sub-)systems and components in the DevOps model with continuous delivery and support including application operations.


• Know-how in our current environment plus corresponding alternatives (Linux, InfluxDB, Python, RabbitMQ, Docker and Docker Compose, Grafana, ETL data pipelines (especially PostgreSQL))


• Familiar with software platforms for hyperscaling (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and infrastructure as code


• Experience with constrained low power devices like Arduino and Raspberry Pis


• Extra points criterion:
  
  
  
  • Background in the production and intralogistics segment, mobile robotics
  
  
  • Experience with Serial and UART for communicating with DSPs and LTE modems is a plus
  
  
  • Experience with CAN-Bus or other industrial bus systems is advantageous
