As a member of our team, you will be tasked with delivering end-to-end solutions starting from combing petabytes of data to find key insights, evaluating and improving state-of-the-art machine learning solutions, building reliable and high performance production-quality systems, and collaborating with broader team to create compelling experiences that help our buyers and sellers.

We are looking for passion for deploying to production reliable and efficient Machine Learning services at massive scale. You will collaborate with researchers to invent, design and implement end-to-end reliable, scalable, efficient production services in Java, Scala, Kotlin.

The ideal candidate will have a solid engineering proficiency, consistent track record of solving critical business problems -utilizing their engineering talent. The candidate will be expected to have strong communication skills and to be capable of cross-group collaborations.

You will also be expected to:

• Integrate closely w/ colleagues in different functional groups and remote offices

• Enjoy being part of a team of motivated, collaborative, high-achievers

• Communicate effectively within your team and across teams.

• Identify project risks, quantify risk/benefit relationships and provide alternative solutions as well as risk mitigation
  

Job Requirements:

• BS/BA in Computer Science or related field plus 7 years work experience or MS with 5 years of relevant experience

• Strong Experience with JVM languages (Java, Kotlin, Scala)

• Experience in building large scale Backend Applications

• Experience building back end systems that run Machine Learning based services

• Deep understanding of design patterns, and experience working in a layered architecture

• Knowledge of core CS concepts such as common data structures and algorithms

• Experience in interacting with external partners and architecting the systems

• Experience with modern DevOps principles and continuous delivery

• Strong work ethic - someone who takes great pride in professionalism, responsibility, and being proactive

• A positive can-do attitude with a strong desire to succeed

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Code samples from private github repos, side projects, and open source project contributions is a plus
