Description
We are looking for a Full Stack Developer to produce scalable software solutions, with a focus on the system back-end. You will be part of a cross-functional team that is responsible for the full software development life cycle, from conception to deployment. As a Full Stack developer, you should be comfortable around both back-end and front-end coding languages, development frameworks, and third-party libraries. Your focus will be on back-end development with some front-end development as well. You should also be a team player with a knack for visual design and utility. If you’re also familiar with Agile methodologies, we’d like to meet you.
Responsibilities
- Full-stack development within an Agile team
- Write and maintain clear, secure, extensible, and scalable code within Python/SparkReact stack
- Collaborate with and across Agile teams to design, develop, test, implement, and support technical solutions in full-stack tools and technologies
- Work with product owners to understand desired initiatives and implement application capabilities
- Maintain knowledge of market trends and development in web application development frameworks and related, emerging technologies to provide, recommend, and deliver best practice solutions
- Develop and deploy web applications in an AWS environment
- Work with development teams and product managers to design software solutions
- Develop and manage well-functioning databases and applications
- Write effective APIs
- Extend and integrate with front-end applications
- Test software to ensure responsiveness and efficiency
- Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade software
- Create security and data protection settings
- Write technical documentation
Requirements
- Proven experience as a full stack developer in a similar role
- 6+ years of overall experience in software development
- 3 years of Python experience - required
- 3 years of AWS experience or other Cloud technology experience
- 1+ years of JavaScript / React experience
- 2 years of hands-on experience with JIRA a sprint planning/development and project management tracking tool
- Experience working with a Version Control system (preferably Git)
- Developer level knowledge of CI/CD integration – using branching/merge approaches
- Experience creating highly available and scalable infrastructure in AWS Cloud by using various AWS Services
- Knowledge of multiple front-end languages and libraries (e.g. HTML/ CSS, JavaScript, JSON)
- Knowledge of multiple back-end languages (e.g. Java, Python) and JavaScript frameworks (e.g. Angular, React, Node.js)
- Familiarity with databases (e.g. MySQL, MongoDB), Web Servers (e.g. Apache)
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Degree in Computer Science, preferably in IT/Data-related field
- AWS Certified Developer – Associate - Preferred
- Experience working on and knowledge of Health and Human Services (HHS) and/or Centers Medicaid and Medicare Services (CMS) projects and processes - Preferred
- Must be able to obtain a Public Trust Security Clearance
