We're looking for a curious, driven and steady hand to lead the development of the UPowr platform's user interfaces used by our customers, installers, and partners. As we grow, the Lead Front-End Developer will be responsible for building and leading our front-end development team.
As Lead Front-End Developer you will take ownership of our current user interfaces and develop new interfaces for our other platform participants (think Uber rider vs driver app). Your role will be to understand our short and long term objectives and to develop and execute on an implementation strategy to efficiently ship major features often.
You will work closely with subject matter experts to understand each problem we are trying to solve, UI/UX and product designers to ensure designs are suitably scoped, and back-end developers to ensure API's are fit for purpose.
Our stack is primarily TypeScript and Vue.js with automated build, test, and deploy on AWS.
What’s required?
- Knowledge of JavaScript and web technologies (HTML/CSS)
- Experience developing rich applications with HTML/CSS/JS
- Intimate knowledge of cross-browser and cross-device development
- Ability to write build performant, decoupled, testable, maintainable code
- Knowledge of open-source libraries, tools and frameworks (e.g. for logging, wiring, testing, building)
- Keen attention to detail and drive to simplify complex concepts
- Ability and willingness to learn new programming languages, frameworks and paradigms
- Minimum of three years experience
Extra things that would be helpful, but aren’t required:
- Experience with Typescript & Vue.js
- Experience with React Native, Flutter, or similar
- BS or MS degree in Computer Science / Software Engineering or a related field
- Experience in the energy industry
