Job Title: Senior Manager, Software Engineering

Location: Reston, VA / Remote

Comscore is a data company. We collect and process 60+ billion events each day, have 10s of petabytes online and each month our processes read nearly an exabyte. We use this capability to provide our clients with deep insights that no other company can match. The Digital Foundation Engineering team is responsible for building the infrastructure we use to enrich and classify our data assets.

We are looking for a Senior Manager of Software Engineering to join and lead this team.

What You’ll Need:

• 4 - 7 years of professional programming experience3 - 8 years of managing engineering teams


• You have a solid understanding of Computer Science fundamentals


• You have a strong affinity towards working with data


• You enjoy working as a member of team and consider feedback a learning opportunity


• You are comfortable in an environment that values quickly providing our customers with solutions


• You are a strong communicator


• The following are considered a plus:


• You have prior experience building high performing web services.


• You have prior experience with distributed processing frameworks (e.g. Hadoop, Spark, MPP databases)


• You have prior experience in the audience measurement or campaign measurement space

Technologies we use -- Previous experience in these technologies is not required. This is a great opportunity for someone looking for a new challenge:

• AWS (EC2, Lambda, API Gateway, ECS, SQS, EMR) SparkSQL Server/Postgres, JavaSQL (CTEs, window functions, UDFs, etc.)


• An internal framework for job scheduling and execution (similar to AirFlow)
