Here's what this role entails :
- Being hands-on at least 75% of the time and working as the senior technical contributor in the team to influence architectural and design choices, implement distributed services, and build scalable, service-oriented platforms to support 10X growth
- Gathering complete domain and functional knowledge and translating those into technical components, thereby creating a roadmap to achieve short, medium, and long term product goals
- Translating business outcomes into high and low-level system design
- Forming overall SDLC and making engineering design decisions and technology choices including build/buy decisions for the product in a startup environment
- Ensuring security, compliance, scale, quality, and operational excellence for the product
- Determining technical feasibility by evaluating analysis, problem definition, requirements, solution development, and proposed solutions
- Collaborating with Product and UX teams from diverse backgrounds to construct a tech delivery strategy, reasonable roadmaps, and timelines, and ship quality software
- Mentor and train team members on technology design techniques and coding standards to increase productivity across product areas
What you'll need to succeed :
- Degree in Computer Science or similar technical field
- 6+ years experience with full-stack development of distributed systems for consumer products using a general-purpose programming language (e.g. JavaScript, NodeJs, Python)
- 3+ years of experience setting direction, building, and scaling enterprise SaaS products
- 3+ years building testable, distributed and highly scalable cloud services, preferably AWS
- Services and API Development in NodeJs
- Object-oriented Javascript programming
- Software best practices like API design, functional test case, etc
- Web frameworks like React, React Native
- HTML, HTML 5, CSS, LESS, SASS
- Docker containers, Kubernetes, Kafka and service deployment
- Past experience building ML/AI solutions
