Odin is a social gaming and e-sports platform developed by IIT/ISB/NIT Alumni with extensive experience scaling consumer internet companies such as Ola, Tapzo, Cars24, Dineout, Pristyn Care. Odin is targeted at the 200 million casual gamers in Tier II/III/IV India and seeks to become their default choice of casual entertainment.
Job Description :
We are seeking an experienced full stack Android Developer with a strong passion for gaming and e-sports. The individual must have the drive and ability to work in an early stage startup environment and will be responsible for the complete development of the backend architecture and front end application of the gaming platform. Strong Android SDK/Javascript development abilities and being able to problem solve and optimise existing app performance is preferred. Working knowledge of React is preferable.
Responsibilities :
1. Translate and build game and platform functionalities as per the shared designs
2. Collaborate with cross functional teams to define, design and ship new features in sprints
3. Work with outside data sources and APIs (Payment Gateways, others)
4. Unit - test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability and general reliability
5. Continuously work on bug fixing and improving application performance
6. Discover, evaluate and implement new technologies to maximise development efficiency
What we are looking for :
1. BS/MS/B.Tech in Computer science or related subject from IIT/BITS/NIT
2. Multiplayer and cloud game development experience across other marquee gaming companies is a good to have
3. 3 years of software development experience and 2 years of hands on Android development experience
4. Strong working knowledge of Android SDK/ Firebase
5. Experience handling third party libraries and APIs
6. Experience optimising Android Apps
7. Working knowledge of the general mobile landscape, architecture, trends and emerging technologies
8. Critical thinker and a problem solver + a team player
9. Great interpersonal and communication skills
