We are looking for a Senior Backend Developer (f/m/d) who wants to join our existing development team in Frankfurt, Germany. Beyond the required skills and abilities, we are looking for an individual with a senior attitude and a passion for building awesome stuff, capable to take responsibility of the made decisions and the written code.
What you'll be doing
- Developing and owning the most critical parts of our system
- Writing and optimizing code aiming for performance and scalability
- Maintaining applications written primarily in Ruby and Go
- Communicating with other teams to find the best solution
- Directly participating in the decision-making process
What you need
- Take pride in writing clean, modular code that you are responsible for maintaining
- Expert knowledge building and scaling web applications
- Experience building RESTful APIs
- Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies
- Comfortable working in an Agile environment
Bonus points for:
- Active Github and/or Stack Overflow accounts that show a diversity of interests
- Experience working with microservices architecture
- Experience with Ruby, Python, Go and Kotlin
- Experience with Redis, RabbitMQ and PostgreSQL
- In-depth knowledge of browser security models and cryptography
